Dempsey's Burger Pub

Never really went for the food, no no opinion in that regard. Usually went for music. Lots of early 2000 and 90s hip hop and r and b and decent amount of current songs. This place was a well hid secret for some time but now word is starting to get out and tends to get a little crowded sometimes. Drinks are ok, not a great selection and somewhat watered down. Usually a really good atmosphere of people trying to just Dance and have a good time so still a 5 for kc standards.

After my first time here, I am pleased. I had a house burger on an amazing brioche bun, cooked to a perfect medium. Duck fat fries were sinfully good as an appetizer, served with two delicious aolis. Drinks were good, moderately priced. My only issue was that there was only one server on duty on a Friday night. She was fast and efficient but one woman can only do so much. But, that was a small price to pay for such good food. I will be returning.

My mom and I dropped in here on a Monday for lunch. Nice bar/restaurant that is clean and spacious. The bartender, a nice gentlemen from Lawrence, was very accommodating. We couldn't decide on a beer so he hooked us up with an Irish flight. Not only was the service perfect the food was to die for! We had the Mac and cheese burger- one of the BEST burgers I've ever had. To top of off, we had the duck fat fries, totally life changing. And with the fries we got 6 different dipping sauces that were equally tasty with homemade "catsup" and mustard YUM! I would definitely recommend this place for a great burger and beer. The burgers are great but the fries are the reason to come here. Truffle oil, duck fat, or sweet potato with different dipping sauces. We've been several times just to make a meal from the fries. The beer selection was not great but a little better than just the typical bar selections. Bar atmosphere with televisions playing whatever game is on. It tends to get pretty loud if there's any amount of people there or if they're playing music over the speakers.
