Rugger's Up And Under

Attended the battle of the bands event this past Friday evening, and the acoustics in the backroom exceeded my expectations. The sound was well-balanced, and it was really neat to see a variety of different acts, especially Dead People Park, who had quite a unique Shoegazey vibe. All of the staff were attentive, and the food was pretty aight too (had a chicken quesadilla yummm)!

Came here yesterday with my fiance after finding out that Comensoli's was reservation-only. It was literally just across the street so we figured we'd give it a try. Our waitress was super nice, she even did table service when they don't typically do that, according to her. I got the triple decker club. It actually wasn't that bad. It was a pretty good size, I felt satisfyling full after eating it. Onion rings were a little bready, however my fiance's sweet potato fries were pretty good. Pricing was also pretty reasonable, which I was hoping for since it's a sports bar.

One of Kalamazoo natives' favorite bars in town. There's always such a lively atmosphere, tons of arcade games, pool, and a spot to play corn hole out back in the outdoor patio, which is my personal favorite spot here. You can always expect your bartender to be a little rough around the edges, and the same can be said of the patrons, but for me that's just part of the charm. Drinks are always a good price, and the hotdogs slap! Great local bar if you want to have a night out with lots of energy in the air!
