Nick's Gyros

My wife is laughing at me for describing Nick’s as “brilliant,” which is not at all part of my normal vocabulary. The flavors are perfect. I have to imagine Nick has put a ton of thought into each ingredient by the way the pork, toppings, and sauces compliment each other. Burger nerd bonus: they occasionally make smash burgers that are easily the best around (by a lot). Make sure you call ahead for those.

Went for the first time today. Food was aromatic, flavorful, high quality, fresh and perfectly portioned. Can't wait to try something else from the menu which has lots of unique combinations. UPDATE: been back twice, food was a let down both times. Service is still great but I guess we just got lucky the first time.

Their gyros are unique since the meat is not the typical lamb, but actually pork. Man is it good. Also, fries right on the gyro? Who does that? Nick's does, and it feels very food-truck-y, but that makes sense considering there's a food truck too. I've always had good service here, and would like to call out a time when I ordered online, picked up the order, and got a call as I'm in the parking lot, checking my order, to tell me they forgot an item before I could even check it. I can't tell you how many times I've had online orders at other restaurants care very little if an item is missed, but the attention to detail is always appreciated and noticed.
