Da Spot Honolulu

Stopped here for the first time today after a friend’s recommendation. I got the tandoori chicken with rice, green salad and an avocado salad. Portions were generous, it did not have spicy flavor, the chicken was well cooked with crispy bits. Both salads were very fresh! In Hawai’i you can usually tell places how much or little heat you would like. Me and my husband really enjoyed the food and service. Can’t wait to go back. The chicken plate was $10! Side salad $7.50. For $18 two adults ate a meal we both enjoyed. I am impressed with the fresh food and service. Now I know why this place often has a line of people waiting.

I understand the reviews… not the most authentic Indian or Egyptian thing or other Mediterranean restaurant, BUT you can’t beat it if you are looking for a quick bite and don’t want to break the bank. Good portion sizes, healthy food, awesome staff. The recipes are decent. Much better than what I can do! If I had family and friends and we were coming off of a hike, this would be a great spot. Open air covered seating, good music, good vibes. Easy access. LOTS of choices. The green salads are tasty as all as their accompanying homemade salad dressings.
