Urawa Japanese Cuisine

Great find!!! Great authentic Japanese meal at a discounted price. You would not expect such high quality Japanese cuisine at this modest mall (formerly a Ranch 99). A few years ago, A United States government employee brought a group of visiting Japanese diplomats for lunch. The employee returned the next day with a special letter (displayed at the counter) acknowledging and thanking the chef for the delicious meal. Certainly, it is rare and special for Japanese envoys to give thumbs up to a US Japanese restaurant. The Chef used to cook at a upscale restaurant in Waikiki. One reviewer commented that the wait time was long. Each order is prepared when ordered so it takes time. Meals are not cooked like a fast food restaurant. The kitchen is making the dishes similar to a regular sit down restaurant. Always worth the wait!

My wife, son and I love the food court at Moanalua 99! We were here about 8 years ago and had to come back during this most recent vacation to Oahu. The 99 Ranch Supermarket is now closed and multiple new food stalls have popped up, including Urawa Japanese Fusion. My wife, son and I split up to find our own favorite lunch. My wife got the made-to-order fried soft tofu from Urawa Japanese Fusion and it was probably the best fried tofu we've ever had. If you are a fan of tofu or fried goodies and don't mind a short wait, you need to try this stall.
