Arancino Beachwalk

I want to start off my saying that Arancino on Beachwalk is quite possibly my favorite restaurant in Hawaii. There is ALWAYS a wait so get a reservation. I personally got the penne with shrimp and spicy tomato sauce. It was fantastic and adding a bit of parmesan and chile flakes made it out of this world. They were very accommodating to the allergies and requests of my table. The bread is fresh and warm. My only complaint is that I’m always so tempted to fill up on bread! Overall Arancino on Beachwalk is a MUST TRY in Honolulu.

If you're looking for that quaint, romantic, dimly lit authentic Italian restaurant... this ain't it. The restaurant is small and crowded, a bit loud, and brightly lit, but the food is pretty good and the staff are very friendly and efficient. Won't take you on a journey to Italy, but it'll fill your belly with decent Italian food. The spaghetti ai ricci di mare ($37) is a very popular dish. I got the spaghetti alla carbonara ($26), which was very good. The pappardelle alla bolognese ($26) was good as well. Tiramisu was good for dolce, but the panda cotta was better. With a bottle of wine and tip, we spent $200. Reservations are a must, or you will wait an hour or two. It was good, but wouldn't call it a "must".
