Cake And Loaf

Fantastic bake shop! Had the caramelized onion and goat cheese scone, and my girlfriend had the confetti cookie. Both were fantastic and delicious! I wish there were a couple more savoury options, maybe some croissants? Croissant sandwiches? Focaccia? Regardless, everyone should go get something from them! They are also super generous near closing time, but with great power comes great responsibility, and this generosity shouldn't be abused, but, cherished and appreciated. Their cook (bake?) book, is also fantastic, accessible and easy to use/read, and the pictures are super drool worthy. Excellent value and quality all the way around. There has been a lot of comments about the price of the items, I feel the pricing is adequately justified. How do you adequately put a price on the love and personal principles that the owners put into each item?

Absolutely amazing, amazing desserts every time - especially the mini egg mini cake. I’m not a cake person, but this was life changing. I have to give the team a particular shout out for being so accommodating- our pickup time slipped our mind as we were busy with our toddler and the team politely called to let us know. As we are from out of town and could not come another day, they kindly stayed past close so we could pick up our order. We also got our wedding cake from C&L 8 years ago and we are still drooling thinking about how amazing our cake was. Thanks Cake & Loaf for offering such amazing treats!

Tried their pumpkin cheesecake pie and it was decadent and super flavourful - however I feel like their pie was extremely overpriced. I only got a small pie, which I was told is 4 inches (I didn't get to see the product prior to purchasing as it was curb-side pick-up), but when I got my pie, it was literally the size of a buttertart and I paid almost $9 for it! I think it would be worth the time to grab a full sized pie - but don't buy the minis as they're not worth the money for a couple bites.
