Marciano's Pasta Cafe

Marciano’s Pasta Cafe used to be a favourite spot for dinner with my parents, so being nearby we stopped for lunch. Because we had a dog with us, we got takeout and ate beside the river right behind the restaurant’s parking lot. The food was as good as I remembered, and most importantly, the pasta was cooked properly, that is, not over-cooked, which is the problem with pasta in *many* restaurants. I very much enjoyed the pleasantly spicy Linguine alla Bernaki. One of my companions had a pizza, also very good, and the other had the Linguine Pesto. The only complaint we had was that the Pesto was a bit oily. One of the nice features of Marciano’s is that every meal comes with a salad, and the house dressing is really excellent. This is easily one of my favourite Italian restaurants.

Fresh pasta and entrees prepared à la minute. The food was delicious, my wife commented that this was the best Italian food she's ever had. I know Italians who like to come here. The prices are reasonable for what you get and the staff are attentive and helpful. The ambiance is a bit cave-like, but they are located in a lower basement unit built into a hill with an exterior entrance. This is not a bad thing, as it makes it cozy. If you are a Foody who enjoys quality and reasonable value, then you need to come here. Reservations are recommended.

Marciano’s is hands down one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever been to. Everything is so fresh and made to order and you can really taste the quality. Cynda was our waitress and she was so pleasant, answered all our questions and provided excellent service. We got the Mediterranean chicken dish and the chicken was tender and juicy, and the pasta was cooked perfectly. Their patio is so cute and dainty, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who’s craving real Italian food. Thank you Marciano’s!
