Hunters Pub And Steakhouse

Wow; what a hidden gem! If you’re visiting Callaway Gardens, it is a must for dinner one evening! Highly recommend the deep fried lobster tails (even though a bit pricey). We also had the 8 oz filet, medium rare, and it was perfectly cooked and had a great taste. Sides were a salad, baked potato, and mushrooms. Oh, and the homemade key lime pie was the best we’ve had in the past year!

We are staying in the area and tried this place out last night. Our waitress was Celia and she was wonderful. I ask for my steak to be well done. She sent it back twice with a smile and never got aggravated at me for being so picky about the pink steak. She went above and beyond and made the best out of everything she could.. she is great with her customers. Although I was really not satisfied with the dinner itself she made it a pleasant experience. I hope I got her name correct. Thank you!!

We drove an hour last night to try this restaurant! We were very pleased with everything! The restaurant was packed, but we were seated quickly! Our server was extremely friendly and attentive. The food was excellent! My steak was one of the best I've ever had. It was so tender, and the marinade made delicious. I definitely recommend Hunter's Pub & Steakhouse!

The food was good but honestly, it wasn't worth the hour + wait. More importantly the atmosphere was really unenjoyable. Full of very loud drunk people amplified by very poor acoustics. We were seated on what appears to be an addition to the main dining room. It was unbearably loud and made conversation impossible. It is absolutely impossible to enjoy a meal in this environment. The steak was good quality, and the service was very good, but the same can be had in a less stressful environment. It's possible that had we been seated in the main dining room it would have been an enjoyable experience. If you happen to be in the neighborhood and possibly on a weeknight, I suspect it would be good food and decent prices. Just try to get in the main dining area and avoid the metal roofed addition.

It's pretty rare when you can put a name to the best of anything with no hesitation.. I ate here plenty of times and if anyone ever asks me what my favorite steakhouse is I'll tell them without skipping a beat it's Hunter's. Service was always fantastic. Steaks were always perfect. Get the fried green beans, fried lobster tail and the ribeye.
