Firehouse Subs

Food was great as always at any Firehouse Subs. This particular location could use a bit of added attention to cleanliness, especially the tables, visible bits of food on the tables that we had to wipe off, as well as sticky table edges that haven't been scrubbed in a while, which we only noticed as we tried to steady the wobbly table. And someone needs a quick lesson on the difference between sweetened and unsweetened tea. Hint: they aren't the exact same thing. You should add a sweetener to the sweetened tea. But the prepared food was completely as expected. I would give them another chance, but I would be hoping for some improvements on these points. I'm a big fan of Firehouse Subs, in many different cities and locations. This one was just not up to the standards I'm accustomed to seeing at the others. They still got 3 stars from me, but they can and should move that rating up.

Food is consistently good, but quickly becoming not worth it. Service is consistently bad- especially if you opt for the "convenience" of calling ahead and picking up at the drive-thru window. Generally a 5 minute wait for someone to notice you, then another 5 for them to figure out where your order is. It's very consistent, too- even though there are different employees each time I've been. Dear Mgt: If you ever get the drive-thru fiasco straightened out, you might suggest that just a few of your employees say "sorry" when they F up your order, and maybe go way over the top(!), and actually say "thank you" when they give you a receipt for the $ you just spent with them, despite the issues.

I’m quite new to the area. I’ve ate here a couple of times. I used to work at the Firehouse in Macon as a shift leader, and I would love to give you all a 5 star rating. Some of your employees have terrific customer service. But, then there is the issue of my sweet tea not being sweet at all, and the dining area being in a mess… I understand that at one point you all were understaffed, but when these things happened there were at least 7 employees behind the line…. I’m not writing this review in anyway to degrade you all, but to uplift you…. And give a few pointers for you all to focus on. I will be back because I love Firehouse. 😌

Firehouse makes good sub sandwiches. The steaming process extracts the maximum flavors. The Oakwood location gives great service regardless of the time of day. After many, many visits I can report that I have always received prompt courteous service and super delicious sandwiches The only reason for giving a 4 star rating is the price. Which is considerably higher than other sandwich shops.

Me and my family came a month ago to get food there. While I was ordering, I saw the old white man drop the steak and picked it up from the floor and put it back in the bucket with the rest of the steak. I’m not sure if he threw it away but I saw him put it back into his work station. My wife wouldn’t let me complain because she said it’s not our business but ever since then I’ve been avoiding this store because I’m just disgusted. I don’t want any compensation, I just hope they fix this issue because that just disgusting.
