Five Star Pizza

Maybe not Italian pizza, not NY pizza, but probably the best American pizza I've had in Gainesville. Second best pizza I've had in Florida, and it's surely in the top five for American pizza I've had throughout my life. Their sides are also of a good quality, while a bit inconsistent in taste. I think they switch the sauce brands that they use occasionally, but I enjoy the surprise. A bit disappointing that they offer pineapple, but that's a choice I have zero right to criticize. Overall, nothing is perfect, but damn does Five Star come close. Definitely the way to go when you want pizza, wings, or pepperoni rolls. By the way, I'm seriously recommending the Deluxe specialty pizza. That's pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, and green peppers. All for the price of a three topping pizza! Its my second favorite after my own custom order (beef, onions, green peppers, black olives.)

Let's be honest. When a pizza place cares so little about their image that its boxes and building look like they haven't been revamped since 1988, you know it's going to be good. Think about it. Place has been rolling for more than 30 years yet it looks like this? They must know what they are doing. And as it turns out, they DEFINITELY do. This is great food.

Absolutely horrible customer service. I was at the hospital and they delivered the wrong pizza and then refused to give me the correct pizza when I called was placed on the phone with the manager who hung up on me and was beyond disrespectful. Will NEVER give them my business or money again. This place is HORRIBLE. DONT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY.

Totally gross, we should have never ate the pizza. We got food poisoning twice now. The mushrooms tasted rotten, the dough was not cooked, the first time we were told 45 minutes and waited an hour and 45 minutes. The second time we picked it up and just by looking at the trashy establishment I should’ve known not to eat the pizza. Very rude employees, Nobody wearing gloves and two guys with long hair did not have it pulled back. We got sick that day too. Never again!
