Hau Han

The food here is excellent, SO tasty and beautifully presented! The mixed platter for starter was absolutely delicious. The waiter was so friendly and helpful, he really seemed to do his best. We as a family had had a long and stressful day of travelling and ended up in this restaurant by chance but we would all love to come back. Beautiful decor too. Thank you.

We order take away regularly from Hau Han as vegetarians, and love the fact there is no MSG in their dishes. We decided to dine in last night and the food was superb. We had sweet and sour tofu, veg chow mien, veg spring rolls. It was a busy Saturday night, including some noticeable difficult customers sitting at a large table near us whom were extremely rude to their server. I wanted to express that the staff visibly tried their best in the situation they were put in, and we were appalled by the table’s behaviour. Thanks again, we’ll be back!

Visited Edinburgh with my family and found Hau Han when looking for good spots to eat in the area. I can definitely say that Hau Han's one of the best Chinese restaurants I've gone to and would definitely recommend it. The staff were very kind and attentive, even got to meet the owner Derek and the rest of the staff- Emily and another girl serving us that day (unfortunately I forgot to get her name before she finished her shift) were excellent too! They even gave my mum free Chinese doughnuts as we were celebrating her birthday. Very satisfied with the food and the service we received. 10/10 would visit again next time I come back to Scotland. Wish there was one here in London!

I booked a table here for myself and my girlfriend after looking on trip advisor,the food was absolutely delicious!!,my girlfriend had the lemon chicken and donuts for dessert,I had the chicken chow mein and banana fritta,everything was made to perfection,the menu is nice and simple,the staff were very friendly and efficient,overall a great dining experience,highly recommend,ill be returning next time im in Edinburgh.

Found this place by accident when visiting my sister in Edinburgh, so glad I did! The food is amazing! Really good vegetarian options, I had the tofu with chilli, orange, ginger sauce with peppers and onions which was sweet with a hint of spice, I also had egg fried rice which was probably the best I’ve ever had! My sister had crispy chilli chicken and noodles which she said were delicious/perfect. Really good portion sizes and the food arrived quickly. The staff are super friendly and the deco is nice too! Also price is super reasonable, Will definitely be back!!
