Om Cafe

Came here after my church service on Saturday around late noon. Om Cafe now has two units so there are plenty tables available. We ordered the thali meal with rice, papadam, roti canai, some dipping spices, pumpkin like sweet potatoes, soup, etc. I really enjoy dipping the roti canai into the pumpkin like sweet potato as it’s really yummy! I really enjoy the meal and would come back for more especially the desserts as they look really attractive!

This small vegetarian restaurant serves possibly the best South indian food in Perth. I love indian food, and have visited Om Cafe twice. We started with curry puff and vadai, I had idli, a delicious steamed fluffy rice cake, while my family had thali and masala dosa. The masala tea was yummy too. Saras was very welcoming and we enjoyed our lunch meal.

Even though I'm not vegetarian or know much about Indian food but this place is delicious. Flavours and textures were delicate with nothing too out of the ordinary for someone familiar with a normal Asian palette. The roti banjir was soft and nicely spiced, the filling of murtabak dosai tasted like spicy mince and the thali set had a good selection of soft, crunchy, salty, sweet and sour dishes. The family that run it are very friendly and we felt very welcomed. The Cafe itself has simple decor but the food is affordable and of a high standard in terms of taste and quality.

Our favorite Indian vegetarian and vegan little Restaurant in Perth.It's a bit new and undiscovered yet.Best Masala Dosa we have ever had!Also other very tasty vegan options for small hunger and small price.
