Babbo American Grill

My wife forced me to come here but I read all reviews and I wasn’t happy to visit that place especially a restaurant close to the hotel. Normally they are rubbish. I stressed a bit the waiters and they notice my indulgence to order but at the end was; - Starter: Plate of full cheese for only €12,amazing!! Main: Massive canaryan 🥩 for only €53 x kgs and the results was extremely delicious!!!! - 2 starter; Carpaccio: Looks a bit old but at the end tested good. - 2 main; Tuna steak,my wife love it!! Not sure when they are very busy and under pression but when I was there,all people was relaxed and staff very attentive to the details. One star less only because the wine showed on the menu (by tablet)was dated 2006 and they bring me at the table a bottle dated 2016. When I asked explanations,they replied in a ridiculous way: “Pictures and descriptions are not the real one,you know that”. The restaurant need to keep a high standard otherwise the hotel kick them out and that answer definitely don’t reflect the highest standard of the hotel. As a customer I spent my money in a way that I want so in this case “money well spent “ but next time be sure how you reply with the customers 😉

Ondanks dat het vrij rustig is in het restaurant heb ik 10 minuten later mijn drinken kunnen bestellen. Het eten lijkt en proeft alsof het als mise and place al voorbereid uit de koeling gehaald is (niet op temperatuur, niet op smaak, proeft niet vers ). Daarnaast de entrecote zou mijn hond niet eens eten, breekt je tanden van af daarom adviseer ik je vis, als ik de bediening hierover aanspreek en feedback geef is het enkel een excuse dat aangeboden wordt maar gezien de recensies is dit probleem al maanden aan de gang. Personeel doet echt zijn best maar de kwaliteit van de producten waarmee ze werken is nog goedkoper dan goedkoop en oogt en smaakt geen kwaliteit en ook geen smaak. De 4 sterren gaan naar het hard werkende personeel dat inmiddels al 10 uur op de benen staat !

Lovely food in a lovely location. Staff were very attentive. Food was amazing and very well priced. We had the mixed grill, which was great value. The restaurant is part of the Dreams Jardin Tropical hotel but is open to non- residents as it is located on the promenade. I would recommend booking. Open for dinner and lunch.
