Portions were well worth it! Took a little while for chef to come but everyone at the table understood staff shortage. We were seated with 2 other parties that we didn't know but we all enjoyed each other's company and laughter!

Food was great! Probably some of the best hibachi I have had yet. And the cook was very entertaining. Waitress was nice but a little slow. The hostess was absolutely awful. She was rude to us, especially my 4 year old. She took forever to even greet anyone, multiple people left because she never came to the front, then she was a jerk. She had white hair. She just wasn’t pleasant, if we had not been meeting others we would have left because she was so bad. I will never come back here because of this terrible woman. And we even said have a great night ma’am when we were leaving and she just looked at us. Definitely should not be in customer service.

Hostess sat us in the bar area to wait for a table. As my husband and I are sitting there, I look over and notice a dead mouse on the floor. We ended up not eating here.

First, be aware that ALL RESTAURANTS are short staffed. This place is no exception. However, the quality of service and food was impeccable! Very generous portions (meat especially!!) Friendly staff and above and beyond attitude! The folks here are wearing multiple hats, but they handle it with grace! Highly recommend!

Summary: Pick somewhere else to eat. Food and service was okay nothing too special but also not bad. Please be aware no matter the party size or level of service you recieve they automatically charge an 18% gratuity. The total cost per person averages about $35 per person for a basic meal no appetizers. Personally I would not come back but that is up to you to decide.

When I called to make a reservation the lady was very rude. The restaurant didn't look very clean and the lady that took us to our table was rude. Half the restaurant was shut down due to staff shortage but they could have at least turned all the lights on to make it more inviting. The only good things I have to say is the cooks were great and food was good.

They've really gone downhill. This was a place my family and I loved going to. The quality of the ingredients have suffered. They no longer allow substitutions like getting just broccoli and carrots. They had no sushi or sake. The menu has reduced considerably. The chef's are not as good and the lady who was seating people was incredibly rude. Sad to see such a wonderful place turn into this.

Not really what I'm used to with these Japanese restaurants. Not much of a show or playful interaction. Rice is made different too....peas, carrots, beans and eggs mixed in. The restaurants in Charleston, where I'm from, don't do that. The food is still good and large portions. Service wasn't great for me either. I finished my beverage (non-alcoholic) before anyone else at the table (I was really thirsty!) and everyone else was getting their drinks refilled, but my bf had to ask her to bring me more. I will say I REALLY liked the calamari.
