The Bay Horse Cafe

Bar tender/owner was so friendly! We are from out of town and he spent so much time making recommendations on where to go (all turned out to be great recommendations)! I would do back just to chill with him. But the beer was cold, large, and cheap! Enjoyed playing trivial pursuit at the bar! Highly recommend!

Great little hole in the wall place (I mean that in the best way). Owners are really intent on seeing their diamond in the rough succeed. There's a great back room with leather couches and a TV playing horse races. My team at work found it on accident and we loved it so much we meet there once a month now. Beer is cheap, pork tacos are amazing, love it there.

Great food and even better drinks. Prices are good and the best in town. If you love a good bar with a great, warming and welcome environment - THIS. IS. IT! It's the nicest dive bar that's not a dive at all. This might just be the best true bar in downtown Cincinnati. 25-ounce Hudy Schooners are the best deal in town. "Every hour is happy hour at the Bay Horse Cafe" and the drink prices are super reasonable. The lunchtime paninis are delicious and a steal. They've got other small bites all day too. This is a great place for a lunchtime meeting or a one-on-one conversation. Casual atmosphere without the crowds and blaring music. The owner's did a great job of bringing back the historic charm of this once notoriously seedy bar all while keeping its down-to-earth every-man feel. Modern updates to bathrooms, no more foul smells, and woman-ownership make this a complete 180 degree turnaround from what this bar once was. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
