The Turf Club

I loved the ambiance of this place. Definitely worth going just for that. I'd heard the food was great but I didn't think it was as great as they said. I had a hamburger which is their specialty. It was tasty but not worth the $20.00 price tag. I wanted to get an appetizer but it was such a strange assortment and super expensive. A shrimp cocktail with 3 shrimp was $15.00.!! Nuts! Bottles of domestic beer were 4.75. Shocked. I thought it was more of a mom and pop place but the prices were far from it. The service however was excellent. You owe it to yourself to go at least once just for the ambiance and feel of the place but bring a boatload of cash.

Always voted one of the best burgers in Cincinnati, The Turf Club does not disappoint. Full of neon signs and vintage ads, the fun atmosphere is made even better by their incredible staff. The burgers are huge and cooked to perfection! Would highly recommended the duck fat fries. A great lunch or dinner spot!

Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was fantastic. From the first bite you can tell they really care about thier ingredients and quality of their food. I got the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The tomato soup was the best I've ever had. My wife's cheese burger was so juicy and cooked perfectly and the bun was toasted and tasty. Overall a great experience.

What did I just come into? Wow, it’s quirky, and a foodie dream. My old friend parking is limited ‘in that’ it is only street based and because of the popularity it will be full up and down ,or it won’t. An expansion is planned so that will be good for the establishment. Burgers are unique, try one you don’t know, which be almost all of them. I’m going to say it, I wasn’t impressed with my first selection. I want to believe in this case it was user error, but I felt the flavor of the meat of the burger was bland . Wife had a much better experience, and child wasn’t too impressed with the chicken tenders.

You know when you have guests in from out of town and you’re looking to take them to something different for dinner. Well, The Turf Club is that place. True, it’s mostly hamburgers on the menu, but the burgers are wonderful and you can’t beat the atmosphere. It’s a very small restaurant, but it’s been featured on the Food Network for their delicious burgers. Top quality meat makes up a burger which comes with choices of cheeses and toppings unlike any burger joint you have ever experienced. Sides of giant golden onion rings or crispy fries top off your meal. While you’re waiting for your food and munching on peanuts in the shell, look around at the collection of neon signs, memorabilia and unique beer refrigerators. The place is a museum of memories. Tom, the owner, seems to be always there. Chat him up to get some history about this treasure of a restaurant.

The Turf Club makes my favorite burgers in Cincinnati. I do not care what anyone else says - their burgers are unbeatable when it comes to freshness and amazing flavor. I have yet to find another place that can top their juicy, uniquely seasoned, gigantic burgers. They may not be fancy, but the way they are cooked and their sheer size makes them stand out from the crowd. The free street parking is just an extra bonus. I usually get my Turf Club burgers to go so I can fully enjoy every last bite in the comfort of my home. Their burgers are simply the best!

It was my first time visiting the Turf Club, and hopefully not the last. The people that run the place are exceptionally nice (waitress/barmaid ⁴and the cooks). The food speaks for it's self. Had the chili and a burger to go. The burger was excellent even though it was reheated. I can't wait to try one straight off the grill. The combination of great food and friendly service made for a wonderful meal on a dreary rainy day. This place is a diamond in the ruff. If you don't try this place, you're missing out.
