L&l Hawaiian Barbecue

Not sure if all L&Ls taste the same, so I'm going to try another location. I'm eating fish these days (trying for no red meat or game... just for a season guys)so I didn't sample my family's food. My husband got the BBQ short ribs combo, my son ordered the beef bowl, and I of course asked, fish pls with vegetables.. I didn't see it on the menu outside of a seafood order but they said they would accommodate me. Lord, and did they. They gave me 3 fish fillets! The veggies were a side dish. My son gobbled his beef bowl down in zero flat, said it was amazing. He still had room.... So I gave him some of my fish. My husband eyeballed my fish, so I gave him some, too. Then he wanted more of the fish. Lol. Yes, We loved the hot, steaming fish.😍 The veggies could have used some seasoning, but hey, it's healthy. And who doesn't like Hawaiian macaroni salad? We brought whatever leftovers home. The meal came with Hawaiian bread. I wish the Hawaiian bread came warmed. The passion fruit canned juice I bought was delicious, but it went down too quickly. Thankfully, I had bottled water in my purse! The place had a steady stream of visitors who predominately ordered take out. We ate in and enjoyed the calm.

So the portion sizes have definitely decreased yet the prices are constantly increasing. The food is still prepared fresh and hot, which is a pro. We ordered the bbq mix and was given 1 short rib??! What the description states short ribs, bbq chicken, and bbq beef. You get 4 mini pork lumpia for $4.50 overpriced. The lumpias are half the size of normal lumpia. They did sell iced coffee, but they don’t anymore. I loved their iced coffee with coconut crème. Ummmm, probably won’t be returning anytime soon. The prices are extremely high in comparison to the portions.

My husband & I were craving for short ribs so we decided to go to this location (in Eastlake) and boy, are we GLAD that we did!!! We were pleasantly surprised that both our orders had generous portions of short ribs!! I also purchased a couple of Guava drinks and a cookie to complete my meal. 😊 The short ribs were so delicious!!! We will definitely be back!!!

Horrible I use to love this place now I'm sick with bad case of diarea and may have to be hospitalized due to in uncooked chicken. I called and let them know right away and just wanted then to let cooks know, of course there was no urgency, or compassion. I added pictures they would not add shows receipt and uncooked garlic chicken.
