I am giving the place one star not because of the service. The poor kid who was working there was friendly and provided great service even though he was all alone. He had to make sandwiches for the online orders and for the customers amazing hard working kid. They get one star for lack of management and disregard for safety of their employees . Poor kid was alone to do all the work as well as alone late at night. Employees should never leave an employee to work by themselves. Safety is paramount especially late at night. Yes this is a safe neighborhood however anything can happen an also if the employee slips or gets hurt who would ever know. Outstanding service from a outstanding happy and pleasant employee . Pathetic management.

Went in late at night, only one employee was working. Really nice gentleman helped me with my order of 6 sandwiches which he got done fast and neatly. He was very nice and was still also able to help incoming customers while making my order. Really appreciated that and made my experience easy breezy

Only one employee and looks like they run the business like that. Most of the time cause the comments section is about the same. Being waiting for 20 min ....

Why are they inside serving another customer with the doors locked? Great job guys. Door says closed at 10 pm but you close before 7pm? Both customer and cashier yelled it out the door from the counter.

Got insanely sick after eating there today. About four hours after I ate, I vomited and it was all the sandwich that came up. Felt a lot better after I vomited. I’ve always questioned how fresh some of their veggies are. Lettuce is usually brown at this location and many others.
In an upbeat note, the workers were very nice and professional for a holiday and took care of a 12 person group in a timely manner.

Don’t order online if you want anything extra (avocados, bacon, etc.). You will never get it added and they will take your money. This happened to me too many times. I reported it and just got a “sorry” and no refund or compensation. DON’T ORDER ONLINE FROM HERE!

Sunday March 10th at 8pm:
Why do you have only one worker at this hour?? There was a huge line that ended up forming and I nearly waited almost an hour to get my sandwich. This is unacceptable and you have lost my business at this location. I will never ever come back here.
I felt so bad for that old Hispanic lady who was super sweet and kind and served all the customers with a huge smile despite the line she faced. She handled it like a pro!
As for the management and the workers who may have called out shame on you!

This is absolutely the worst Subway in all of San Diego.
Employee accused me of counterfeit $10 dollar bill.
Ordered through the app and employee did not follow instructions at all and made my sandwich wrong.
Would rather drive further to another subway than give my business to this one.
