Taco Lounge

I went here a couple of days ago to try something new here in Chula Vista and wanted Tacos. When I ordered my food and for take out and went home to eat their was hair in my food. When I called the restaurant to complain the female said so nonchalant “Oh it was me, I forgot to put my hair net on.” She offered for me to come back and get a replacement, but I was so disgusted I figured the other food was tainted. I got a refund back, but it was not for the whole order that I did not eat. I will never go there again.

Unfortunately, I received lack luster service with my most recent purchase. Food was not fresh, see picture. Beef was hard and old inside rolled taco. Fish was iridescent, which means not fully cooked. Also see picture. Food was luke warm. Cashier got my order wrong, she did not apologize, and she did not say thank you after I paid. She did not say thank you to some other patrons also. I heard her say thank you to one patron, only after they thanked her first. Certain patrons got a thank you, have a nice day. Also some workers had two gloves on, some workers had one glove on, and touched food with their bare hand, including salad and hot food.

The food is DELICIOUS!! Highly recommend!! Food 10/10 Cashier man 0/10 The problem is the A**HOLE that works at the register. He is RUDE and charged me extra, without asking and without explanation for requesting they put "a lot of onion and cilantro" on my tacos. When I asked him why he charged me extra without telling me prior he went "I don't know". I asked "what do you mean you don't know? You're the one who entered the charge." He responded again "I don't know". I asked a third time, "How did you decide to charge me extra and how did you decide the amount?" And he responded again "I don't know". WHAT A JOKE UPDATE: Went back to the restaurant today and the cashier confronted me about my review wanting to clarify what happened. He denied my review and said he “didn’t know” why I wasn’t charged extra for previous requests. He then pointed at me and yelled at the kitchen staff “he’s the guy that posted the review!”. Man… way to go from bad to worse!

I’ve never had a problem the couple times I’ve been here but that was also a pick up order. Today I ordered delivery and after waiting so long bc “their Internet was down and didn’t receive my order” I finally got my food, it’s cold, disgusting (like they just threw old meat and soggy cilantro in my burrito), and I’m furious. Wish I could get my money back. Gave it to husband bc his stomach is like a garbage disposal. I don’t even wanna order by pick up anymore.. two stars bc the quesadillas look decent even tho they were thrown in the box on top of eachother like trash

What a pleasant surprise to stop at this friendly street taco establishment. As you can see from the photos, it is a very clean, friendly place with a wide variety of customers from family with children to couples, solo visitors and many taking entries to go. Was in the mood for meat/ carne and started with taco of carne asada and of Lebanese style pork. Was it good, went back to order 2 more de carne asada! They have a chile bar with salsa de birria, chile verde, chile molido, etc. with fresh sliced radishes and lime wedges. Took home a fish battered taco and a grilled shrimp taco for my son/ daughter and they said it was tasty with a big thank you. They also offer happy priced specials of the day ! Check it out!
