The British Corner

If you are looking for a breakfast this is the place to go, it has everything to suit everyones needs. Everything is important from uk except the bread and butter. Food is cooked to perfection staff our lovely and friendly, especially Joanne you couldn't get a nicer person. It is clean. I just cannot fault this place. Please visit them they deserve your custom they are the best place for breakfastm

Now I haven't eaten breakfast everywhere in Caleta de Fuste, Fuerteventura. And I am fairly certain that is impossible unless you live there as there are so many greasy spoon cafes. But of the 6 we have eaten, trying the biggest breakfast on the menu, (each one having its own unique name for it.) this one sets the bar. The British Corner is keeping up the British End. Not only is the breakfast really good, but what impresses me the most is the little extras. For example This is one of the only places that has fresh orange juice for order. Everyone else only serves from a carton, a small thing but really important for a breakfast done right. The toliets here are one of the best, very clean. Ok so the toliet is not in the cafe, due to location and only a short distance away. And the keys are attached to a Christmas bauble, which has a bit of humour when many people need to use the toliets at the one time. Finally they frost the glasses for beers. That is a small touch the means a big difference to the punters. And while my wife would kill me for having a breakfast beer, I really did appreciate that effort from a small cafe. The fried mushrooms here are actually shallow fried, some other places deep fat fry it, which leaves the wrong taste on it. The mushrooms were salted perfectly. Sadly the sausages here are much the same as everywhere. There's nothing any cafe can do about this, as it's an island with limited products issue. But they do offer a patty "square" sausage which I had to try. And can stay it's far different and better than any other English breakfast served on the island. Everything was delicious and I made the obligatory toasted brekkie sandwich and wasn't disappointed. Again one of the only places that give two full slices of Bimbo toast, rather than cutting one piece in half. (Bimbo is the brand, if you're wondering.) If there was one vague, not a criticism, and not mine. My wife preferred the Coffee elsewhere. But that is a personal taste thing, and even the next table over agreed with us on how good it was. And they were Scottish, they are really hard to impress. (I kid) This is the best greasy spoon cafe I have visited here, and I high recommend that you do to.
