Shayan Persian Takeaway

I came to Brighton for a family reunion. And we came across Shayan through google and my brother actually told me that the owners are very nice people and they are members at his gym. So we all decided to come here. Honestly from all my heart i say this i couldn’t say what was more beautiful and amazing, the service or the food. I never knew that both could come hand in hand and synchronize with each other so effortlessly. The most generous and hospitable people i ever came across and some of the best persian food i had my entire life. Thank you so much Yahya and Fatemeh, i will always visit your beautiful restaurant and beautiful souls. And what you did for my wives birthday just made us speechless, honestly. What an incredible experience! My family and I went for my sister-in-law’s birthday lunch and the food was amazing, everything was well seasoned and not missing a thing, cannot fault it. The service was incredible, super attentive and kind staff and manager, couldn’t have picked a better place to eat and have tea! Will definitely be visiting again :) 10/10

Iranian food is best eaten at home cooked by a proper Iranian chef. Shayan restaurant is the closest you get to this experience and in some cases even better. The owner Yahya cooks the food which says alot about the restaurant. Yahya is a perfectionist and you will see and taste it when trying food from his place. Enjoy your experiences and as we Iranians say noosh e jan.

We wanted to have dinner at the Greek restaurant across the road, luckily it was full, so we ended up in Shayan. Food: just exceptional ! Home cooked, fresh ingredients...lamb was simply melting in your mouth. Amazing and unique flavors not tried before anywhere else. Host friendly and kind, very helpful with suggestions on dishes. Reasonable prices. 100% recommended!

Speechless! This was my first time ever eating Persian cuisine. I went with my parents whom were recommended this restaurant. First of all, the owner and staff are extremely warm, open-hearted and wholesome people, who are very welcoming! The menu has a wide variety to choose from, so everyone can find something for themselves. The food is amazing to say the least. I ordered a mix of grilled meats and each had different seasoning and way if preparation. All the elements of the dishes are amazing - from sides, throught the naan breads, rice, to the salads and sauces. PS. The rice is super fluffy and the little berries and a zingy flavouring. The tea is presented beautifully and you can choose your own additions for flavour. Would highly recommend to anyone! Once again - thank you so much to the owner for outstanding food service and care ❤️

10/10 experience !!!! Food was absolutely extra ordinary. The host kept us entertained and kept bringing all the goodies. The tea experience was amazing. Got complimentary baklavas ! Can’t recommend enough! Prawn starter was the best prawns I ever tasted! Mixed grill I had for mains was out of the world too ! Naan bread was freshly made in tandoori oven and came to the table steaming hot ! No better place to spend money and taste amazing food ❤️

Definitely, they made our day today! Atmosphere is cozy and traditional. They provide quite delicious starters, meals (including vegetarian choices), and great traditional desserts& drinks. Service is very friendly and quick😊 With my close friends, we couldn't be happier more 😊 Thank you for every single moment Shayan kitchen! 😇

Upon a friend's recommendation, I tried Persian cuisine and this place for the first time, and I must say, I'm thoroughly satisfied. The flavors were pleasing to all palates, and what's even better is the excellent value for money. Both taste and portion sizes are impressive. While I can't speak to how authentic it is, it's a great place to start if you've never had Persian food before. The waitstaff was also exceptionally friendly.
