Billy's Sub Shop

I would come here EVERYDAY if i lived in Boston. Good food, very quaint and understated place. I love a good diner vibe, the people are so nice. Definitely recommend the meatball sub. Beef Chili also good! And it’s a great price point ~$10 per person. These are the gems I want to find when visiting a new city!

I really don't know what to say besides it's amazing. And all my years of traveling, Billy's Sub Shop is probably the best I've ever had. We were in town for a convention and were simply looking for a quick bite when we stopped and everyone in our group of four were flabbergasted by the quality of the food. Not only that, but there was a steady stream of customers but they kept up with all the orders and it didn't seem like anyone waited more than just a few minutes. I can't stress enough just how delicious my steak and onion sandwich was. It was absolutely fantastic and next time I'm in Boston, Billy's will be the first stop I make.

Would definitely hit this place again. We stay in this neighborhood when in the city for events/concerts. If you're looking for a tasty, warm meal in a no-frills place...this is your spot. The service was great. Food served fast. I was here on a weekday in the morning and saw a lot of local folks come thru and staff knew them by name. Great selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner items at a stellar value. Grab and go items: juices, energy drinks, sodas and salads. Will definitely return and try some of their other menu items.

Quick and easy breakfast that's affordable and delicious. The staff are extremely friendly and brought our order out to the table. The 2 egg breakfast was a great value and came with toast and a healthy helping of home fries. There are 11 tables for self-seating, a couple coolers of bottled drinks and premade salads for grab n go.

Such a cool sub shop in Boston! My husband and I stopped in for lunch one day after exploring the city. I had the chicken parm sub and he had the buffalo chicken. Both subs were delicious and very filling. We ended up going to Billy's for breakfast a few days later. Not disappointed on that either! Would recommend and go back if given the chance.

I always enjoy visiting places that seem stuck in time, and this is one of them. No frills lunch joint that looks straight out of the 80s/90s. While not a hot dog joint, I got the hot dogs and they were some of the best I’ve had. Service was quick and great, food was awesome (and CHEAP) and I will definitely pop in again next time I’m in Boston.
