Mast's

Im from out of town on business I came at the recommendation of a coworker , I sat at the Bar upstairs on a Thursday evening, bartender took there time to greet me but that’s ok i guess , I ordered one drink which was good. I ordered my food and it took about 40 minutes to get my order , one veal dish one pasta. The veal was very tasty and the pasta was the cace e pepe was great . I feel if one person is ordering solo though it should probably come quicker. Place was somewhat busy , nice variety of menu items . If I came with friends perhaps id give it another try 😀

We went on an EXCEPTIONALLY busy Saturday night, it was our first time here and not really sure what to expect. Service was a little on the slow side but all the staff were very nice. My fiance got the chicken parm which he said was the best he'd ever had. I got the Cacio e pepe which I'd never tried anywhere before, it was very good, lots of pepper if you like pepper! We couldn't decide on an app so we decided why not try a pizza--we ordered the O Mast' which was excellent. Everything we ordered is pictured here. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other menu items!!

I had the porcini pizza. Was okay, maybe a bit salty, but I ate it all. Then wanted an affagato but I got a bowl of ice-cream and a espresso. Which was okay as it was probably the best espresso I had this trip in Boston and the ice-cream was nice. So it was a win in the end. Some strange thing with wifi meant we had to wait an extra 15mins before we could settle the account. No real explanation.

I was very pleased with my experience here last night! Our server, T, was very personable and made several recommendations on the wine and food. We ate a LOT of food and it was all very delicious. I would definitely recommend this spot for amazing Italian food! I wish I took more pictures of the food we ordered to share but we had a pizza and the cannelloni plus dessert and wine. So, so good!

9/8/23 I said I would return to Mast and I am so happy I did. I was in Naples in April and ate an insane amount of pizza. Tonight I returned to Mast and the Margherita was as near to a real Pizza Napoletana that I have had in the US. It took me back to vacation. The olive oil was perfect, the sauce sweet and unadulterated exactly like Naples, and the crust chewy and perfectly charred. Makes me miss that beautiful city. I had limonccello cake again, and it too, was still amazing. 11/2022 Original review: Amazing food. True Napoli owner who knows how to make Napolitano food. Took me to heaven. I was traveling alone for a conference, and the staff and owner took such good care of me. I felt like I was with friends. The limonccello cake was to die for even when I was already so full. Such a great experience. The mood is romantic-casual. I would easily go on a date here. When I am in Boston again, I will absolutely be coming here again. Thank you all for the amazing food.
