Go for: The great beverage selection, a well-balanced food menu, and terrific service all-around. Avoid if: You are driving here from out of town. It's on one of Boston's busiest streets and parking options nearby are minimal. Something surprising: The chef has been associated with a number of restaurants cherished by Bostonians, past and present. Reservation needed? Probably a good idea, but the wait for walk-ins is rarely bad. Overall Experience: 4/5. Easy to get to, excellent beer selection, well-executed food, friendly and professional service staff (including the servers, hosts, bartenders, etc.), relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere. This is a place you go back to over and over again with family and friends. I live about 300 feet from this place, so often we go there for just a quick burger, but last night I got a couple of the specials. The app was oysters. They were priced just at the same price as other places in the city, but they were quite special; they had wonderful additions, such as lemon pearls. (I never expected this place to do anything like this, but this and the other parts of the dish also made it special.) As an entrée I had the pan seared scallops. This again was done perfectly. The scallops were succulent and properly seared. The additional bits were fun but did not take away from the scallops. They included lime pearls, polenta, and a type of corn salsa. Again, this place is great for a quick meal AND for a special meal.

Came for the beer, stayed for all the food. It’s a shame I can only give 5 stars. It’s been a while where every single thing about a place was Excellent! The Wings, the Bao Buns, the Dumplings, the pulled pork sliders, and the brownies dessert were all amazing. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. The beers were also great. Service was great. It’s worth the little walk from the parks and the prices you see but ever so worth it. 10 stars.
