I lived nearby this place before I returned to the US almost 2 years ago. While I was there were many morning that I awoke craving their cafe solo- the best I've had outside of Italy.
But there's so much more. I'm an American in love with croquettas and Lido has some great ones. First of all they are big. I've not seen them this size elsewhere. But more important of course, they are delicious.
This time around my eyes were bigger than my stomach, As my mom used to say. So in that moment of hunger I ordered the Lido pizza. The pizza is of substantial size - maybe 14". (It would be fair at this point to ask if those are gay inches. Could be...) but it was packed with topping and even though I was full from the croquettas, I managed to put down half of the pizza on it flavor alone.
Got to go- love this place like I do!

Service was good. I ordered the chicken paella. It was good. You could tell they made it fresh to order but the rice was a tad undercooked. My friend ordered the garlic shrimp pasta. That was delicious. Would definitely go back if I ever go back to Barcelona

This was our first meal in Barcelona and it didn't disappoint. This place is a no frills cafe. Really laid back.
The space is really small so seating is limited. We sat outside and even those tables were set pretty close to each other.
The drinks here are pretty stiff and price was reasonable. I can't remember exactly but I think it was only €5-6 for a caipiroska, which is a caipirinha with vodka. I think I ended up having 3 because they were pretty tasty.
For dinner we split the grilled seafood for two. Again, I think it was only €25 for a huge platter of assorted seafood. If you're looking to just have a drink and a snack I'd recommend this platter.
Overall a great experience. The wait staff was really nice but disappeared for long periods. I don't think it's bad service, I think that's just the way it is here. They let you sit and enjoy your meal and not trying to rush you out.

Portions are larger than you'd think so start with just one, of solo. I ordered the Russian salad. Okay but not great- barely ate half. The bocadella was large and very good- ate 1/2 and tried the chicken wings... They were from frozen- tasted okay but not what I had hoped.
Still, this place is really charming in a great part of town.

Even though they did not speak English everyone was super nice. The service was great compared to a lot of the high priced fancy restaurants that we have been to with 4-5 stars on yelp. The food is excellent. My husband loved his lasagna that he had seconds. My son cleaned his plate.

Stumbled into this establishment as a last meal before seeing a friend off for a flight. Very large menu. I ordered a dish and a cuttlefish tapas, and my friend ordered just a beer. They were out of the cuttlefish and asked if I wanted calamari instead, and I said it was fine. They then proceeded to bring me two large entree sized plates (one that I ordered and the other calamari), i.e. came with a salad, which was actually just some plain spring mix with a single olive and no dressing or oil, vinegar, etc.
So I got some side eye from the other customers and ended up looking like a fatass eating two plates alone while my friend watched, and the kicker is that everything was incredibly underwhelming. I distinctly remember waiting to finish eating so I could leave. The only redeeming quality is that it was reasonably priced. No wifi and no English, but they take card.

The best cod I've ever had.
Lunch's menu is very affordable. Around 13 euros for wine, two great plates and a desert. I loved it!

We found Lido by accident while looking for an easy rest and some afternoon snacks. We were very surprised on the taste and size of the food. Excellent menu in five languages

Loved this little place. Great drinks, great staff, and great food. The Marinara pizza is AMAZING. Sitting outside is a must for people watching and just enjoying the day/evening.

The waiter has an attitude and the French fries taste like fish. I asked for the breakfast special with scrambled eggs instead of fries. He said no. Why? My guess is the eggs were made yesterday or they're just lazy. Either way service and food were terrible.

I have eaten lunch here countless times and never been disappointed. Best to order the "menu".

This place was always crowded and was right next to our hotel. We decided to stop here on our way to the airport to grab a bite and a beer. The server was incredibly rude to us. We asked if we could sit on the outdoor area and he just pointed and gave us a grunt and an angry face. When he brought us our menus he basically threw them at us. I asked if it was still ok if we sat here and he just glared at me. We got up and left immediately. Don't know if it's because we were American tourists or what, but we did not deserve that kind of service.

Service was just okay, but food was decent. We both had croissants, mine with cheese and ham and my wife's plain. We both had cafe con leche to drink. The coffee was not strong enough for my liking but it did not taste unpleasant.
