Menú a 12€ totalmente recomendable.

Enjoyed a wonderful family meal at Living Barcelona. We began with a generous glass of sangria. Lovely flavor, not too sweet and not too dry and with a good fruit flavor. Andaluz gazpacho with crotouns was our first course. The flavor was perfectly balanced and not too acidic, like sometimes happens with gazpacho. Enjoyed the undertone of the olive oil and the creaminess of the texture...delightful!
Next was the Alice salad (spinach, tomato, pine nuts, parmesan, mustard and honey). This was a surprisingly large salad and oh-so delicious!!
For our main course we all chose Valencian paella. When they started clearing a spot on the table for the the pan and placed it before us...well just wow!! It was a site to behold, a thing of beauty and it smelled amazing!! We couldn't wait to dig in and we started before I even thought to take a picture. This was by far some of the best paella we have ever had. The rice was cooked to perfection, flavorful and still had some moisture without being soupy or too wet. The shellfish was plentiful, tender and not over-cooked and same thing with the generous large pieces of chicken. The seasoning was perfect and though we tried, we didn't come close to finishing the enormous portion for three.
Honestly, the only course we did finish was the soup as the salad was so large we stopped to save room for the paella. We did see some really nice look desserts heading to other tables but as we couldn't fit another grain of rice into our bellies, we had to pass.
The food was wonderful and would definitely bring us back for a return visit in the future. We also enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant and that we could eat inside or out on the patio. The waitstaff was attentive and always there fulfilling our needs, all without being intrusive. Overall a wonderful experience. Thank you Living Barcelona 1925

It was our last evening in Barcelona and we were walking on the Ramblas and weren't quite sure where to eat. A lady who was recruiting potential diners approached us and persuaded us to come in and check out Living Barcelona. We were incentivized with one free drink per person. They are in the back of a building that is on Ramblas so they don't have as much visibility.
It was early for dinner (6 or 18:00) so the restaurant was empty. Our server was a professional. You could tell he knew a thing or two about great service.
For starters, we decided on the breaded Artichokes and Fried Whitebait "Chanquetes." Both were very good-not greasy and very light. I love artichokes & never had them fried and we had a few Tapas during our trip and this was the only restaurant that had them.
For main, we ordered Tuna, Truffle Pappardelle & Pesto Ravioli. Both pasta dishes were excellent with the Truffle slightly heavier than the Pesto. We had to send the Tuna back as request was for rare and it came out warmer than medium. They quickly made it right. If you want your Tuna rare, make sure you emphasize. (Guess rare means medium in this area?)
Overall, a nice atmosphere (amount of guests started to pick up by the time we were finishing) with great outside seating and looks like could be fun as the evening progresses.

Our first night in Barcelona and we opted to eat near our hotel. It worked out well. We had a number of small plates (tapas) including garlic mushrooms, fried artichoke hearts with an amazing egg-white and garlic aioli, chicken croquettes, cod fritters and tomato bread. Everything was delicious and the service our server Weng was friendly and prompt. A great first dinner in Barcelona with my better half.

I ended up having lunch in this place accidentally because it was a national holiday and everything else was closed - so my parents and I decided to try this place out and hey, we had a great time! I really enjoyed the meal and loved the ambience - I don't get the bad reviews!
It is true that this place is not the typical barcelonian place nor a friendly / informal tapas place - and definitely not the typical venue that serves tons of food and beers and sangrias. If you are looking for that, go somewhere else. This place is a bit upscale, the menu is not huge but is good, service was quick and excellent, interior is elegant and pretty, with a hipster touch.
I had the goat cheese salad with a delicious modena dressing as appetizer, together with "pan con tomate" (tomato bread). I ordered crispy duck as a main that was delicious and really well cooked.
I recommend this place to those looking for a classy lunch or dinner and good food while enjoying the old barcelonian neighbourhoods.

Good food and a nice atmosphere! Service was great and friendly! Nice prices for the quality of food! Seemed to be understaffed but the waitress was still doing her job with a smile, which I really appreciated. Menu for many different languages, so it's a good place for tourists who don't speak Spanish to eat.

Bartenders are great - under-appreciated spot! You can get great tapas and drinks. They'll make sure you have a good time.

When a restaurant promises free sangria, I can't help myself but come in. We were sat in the back, which gave us an awesome view of a square, as we were next to a massive window. The interior was super cool and vampy; I looooved it! We were given our free sangria, that was super strong but also SUPER fruity, which is my favorite combo ever. We ended up ordering more, and loving every drop of it!
I ordered the pasta. The ingredients were right up my alley, and therefore I knew I couldn't go wrong. After some appetizers and quite a bit of waiting, our food arrived. My pasta was remarkable! It was cooked perfectly so the noodles were wonderfully tender, and the sauce was bursting with flavor. The sauce was very rich and robust, but not overwhelmingly heavy or oily.
The only downside to my experience here was the prices. For just two people, it came out to over $100. When you're in another county with limited converted cash, that's a pretty hefty price to pay for dinner. Although, the food was divine and the service was prompt, and at the end of the day, that's what truly matters.

Big mistake. It's right behind our hotel and we were cold so we decided to give it a chance. Pretty much everything was below average. Octopus was the only thing that was decent. Fried artichokes were batter dipped, previously frozen. Sangria was spiked grape juice with a few slices of orange thrown in. Paella was bad. It tasted like they cooked the rice in spaghetti-o sauce. Teeny tiny shrimp. What a waste of a dinner in Barcelona. I could kick myself.

Love the food! The environment is fantastic. The service was outstanding thanks to Shafi!!

I don't know what the other people were bitching about..Living is a really nice restaurant. .excellent service, good portions, fair prices, and most importantly really good food. I had the seafood paella it was great
My wife gazpacho and garlic shrimp both were to die for. Please ignore the other reviews, they are snotty asses.

Everything about this restaurant was bad, from the service to the food to the uninteresting interior. The food was the worst we had in Barcelona. I do NOT recommend this place.

Great food and service. Sat outside off the square. A memorable dinner. Hubby had the black paella and I had the octopus carpaccio. Both happy. Asparagus and Iberio ham and the gazpacho were Lao both great appetizers. After France, the prices are great.

We came here because they supposedly have the best paella in Barcelona.
The food was good, but not amazing... and from the price they charge one would expect it should be. Servers speak English; some were friendly and others were bitchy.
When we got the bill, there was a service charge that I don't normally see on checkshere (in BCN tips are already included in the bill). Turns out they charge 1.30 euro for bread (which we didn't ask for) and "service" per person...a little tacky.
If you are in Las Ramblas and are in the mood for some upscale dinning experience for paella, check this place out. But make sure you are ready to pay a little bit more.

We had the gazpacho, the seafood paella and the black rice with squid. The paella was very good, gazpacho and black rice were awesome. Bottled water for two, no other drinks. Bill was 50 euros. Considering the other menus I looked at, did not think the price was bad.

Wannabe gourmet restaurant with only one single kind of beer. Waiter is very friendly and compliments the smile of ever table hunting for tips. Not asking any questions og listening to you. Ask about the sauce and he will explain what a T bone steakhouse is. Twice! Typical turist trap. Looks like they are better on cocktails than any ting else. There are way better plages to go and eat in Barcelona. Just check the Yelp app.

Living is a lounge/cocktail bar and restaurant on La Rambla. The restaurant is downstairs and the bar is upstairs. It's a very nice venue. During the week-end there are DJs and you can dance, although there is no dance floor. It's the perfect venue for people who like to chill and listen to music. It you like to dance, it's maybe not a place for you, although the music is amazing and the bar itself gorgeous.
I went there 2 weeks ago. We got flyers to get free entry and a glass of champagne and a shot for EUR3.00. So obviously we took loads of flyers ;-).
The nearest tube station is Plaza de Catalunya, you then need to walk down onto La Rambla. The bar will be on your left.

Very nice food, friendly service. The lamb dish was excellent and so was the gnokki. Relaxed atmosphere away from Ramblas. We enjoyed the experience an recommend it.

Do not go to eat at this restaurant. We ate there and all the waitresses were moody. After sitting down we waited ages before being asked for our order. Food is very expensive for what you get and drinks are extortionate. Don't go, we were very dissappointed.!
