Round The Bend Steakhouse

My friend wanted to meet me and He suggested RTB . I have never had a better steak in my life and I have searched out and ate all over the USA. This quality of steak in Dallas TX would cost upward of $79.00 , then again I am in doubt that you could find one so good. The service is casual and the service staff was GREAT. They have a bar but did not indulge because I was driving. This will be a permanent destination. THE "MOUNTAIN OYSTER" is a must.

We were there on a Saturday night at 530. The place was packed with a 30 to 45 minute wait time. The bar area was completely full so diners to be have to wait in the entrance, common to all restaurants, or a back hall which did have seating. The wait time turned out to be only 25 minutes. Our waitress was efficient and polite as was the guy who bussed between courses. Its a "steakhouse" so its known for its red meat. One of our party had prime rib which was pronounced excellent and done medium rare as asked. We had "The Ritz", sirloin for 2 with 4 sides. We asked for rare and it came deliciously rare and juicy. This place bills itself as unpretentious and it is. You can be comfortabld dressed in whatever.

The first thing we noticed was that only a few servers were wearing a mask. Our server was one that wasn't. My husband told her we'd feel more comfortable if she wore one. She agreed. But, then we overheard her complaining about our request! Not cool! The food was excellent, though. And, she was polite and attentive (to our face).
