The Alley

Really cool place. Like 3 bars 2 restaurants 1 owner. Different menus. Was told by a local store owner to order the Fish Tacos. Very delicious. White fish was not at all fishy tasting was lightly breaded and deep fried with a tasty cold slaw and a fresh sauce. Only thing would have like a few reg sized pieces of lime, I had a bunch of bar cut limes worked out though just messier. But for sure needed the lime, I would reorder. You got 3 for $14. The bar tender was super efficient, kind with all of her guests. It was a busy Friday mid afternoon.

This place used to be good but it’s really changed. It’s sad. Everytime I give The Alley another chance I always get let down, hard. Ordered the salmon salad and it wasn’t even close to cooked. Straight raw. Cheese curds were so burnt there was barley any cheese left :( I’m always finding hair in my food, again today in my pulled pork sandwich. That’s not my color or length. Everything’s always really burnt or raw.

My wife and I eat here fairly frequently. The food and service are great! The only issues I've ever had were when I've ordered delivery. The picture I attached shows my meal. 9 wings for $11. Nothing short of highway robbery. I even asked the delivery driver if this was a full order. Ironically, they give you considerably more if you dine in, but short you if you get delivery. I've learned my lesson. Dining in: 5 stars, delivery: 2 stars... Overall rating: 3.5 stars.

Overall very solid, especially the food. We had bacon cheeseburger and onion rings, both fantastic! Portion size more than enough! Couldn't even finish my burger it was so large. Environment was decent, kinda sports bar vibe. Our only complaint would be the service. Waitress was very nice but either overwhelmed, not very good at her job or both unfortunately. We waited for our drinks for at least 10/15 minutes and only seen her once after she brought food and that was to drop off check. Will probably return, just hope for better staff.

We ordered the "cauliflower crust" pizza and onion rings. Onion rings were REALLY good ... pizza had no flavor, basically tomato sauce on top of something, but definitely NOT a cauliflower crust. We ordered a drink but never saw the server again to order a second, in fact he brought our bill before we even got our "pizza" and told us to have a great evening. It wasn't that busy and we understand people can be overwhelmed, but like I said, it wasn't that busy. We're on vacation and just wanted an easy night out. I just wish customer service was still a valued thing. Sure wish it tasted better.

A few years ago their rating would have been 4 to 5 stars. Not even close anymore. A coworker and I ordered the Thai tuna salad from The Alley a few weeks ago. The tuna was cooked only half way. Literally half of the tuna steak was RAW in the center! I called to let them know and the male manager got snarky and told me that is how they serve it. 🤮 After telling them under cooked fish is not safe and it does not state anywhere that they serve it that way he finally agreed to replace it. I told the GM about it and she sent my coworker a gift card but it was a horrible experience After that experience I should have known better. Last weekend I ordered Lava cakes for myself and some coworkers. The fresh fruit was not fresh at all! It was fermented and smelled like vinegar. When I called to let them know they asked if I wanted more fruit. No. No, I do not. The fermented juices soaked into the cakes so the whole thing was gross. My coworkers and I are done ordering from The Alley and The Deep Water for a while.
