Located in the heart of downtown Asheville, this restaurant is truly a special gem. The étouffée was incredible. Not a bite was left on my plate.
My husband opted for the blackened salmon over alfredo and it was divine. The salmon was perfectly crispy and flavorful.
Shane was so kind and attentive. He made the visit very hospitable. The environment was warm and relaxed.
Thank you, Mayfels for making a rare evening out very special. We will be back.🩵

Our waiter was super nice and we liked the atmosphere for brunch. Loved that they have the option to give up a side to donate meals to the hungry! Food was yummy too

Absolutely delicious food- we had gator bites, shrimp and grits, chicken pasta dish all 3 were tasty and large portion size. We sat on the heated patio with our dog. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend this place! We will be back.

Update: we came back and our experience was, once again, exceptional. The etoufee was amazing, the crabcake benedict was wonderful, amd definitely get the fried green tomatoes!
This place was fantastic. It was super crowded but our waitress was all over it. Our coffee never got cold, our water glasses were always filled, and on you of all this, the food was amazing.

It is a beautiful Saturday morning and we are able to sit outside right across from the vibrant park. Shane was an excellent Server, friendly, knowledgeable, definitely a professional. Made us feel welcomed. Food was definitely on point!. Very delicious. Spice was great. Full of flavor. I vote this the best meal we’ve had during our Asheville stay! ❤️

Touch of Lousiana in Ashville, a must visit for dining. Great food, fried green tomatoes and crawfish etoufe….

This was our first stop after entering Asheville and it is truly in the heart of the city. The food was decent and they allowed our dogs to sit with us on the patio, even providing a water bowl. Across the street on Friday nights is a drum circle, and it's an absolute must see. We had the best seat in the house from Mayfel's patio.

Very disappointed they were out of gluten-free bread. However crab cake Benedict’s were amazing!
Beautiful inside and nice outdoor dining options, however were eaten alive by bugs.
