Decided on a whim to drive to Asheville for our anniversary. Chose Chesnut as our dinner place and it was beyond belief. Great atmosphere. The food is 5-star and the service was excellent. We will be back soon!

Wonderful atmosphere. Impeccable service. Incrediable meal. Highly recommend lobster Bisque and the bloody mary. The Pork Belly Eggs Benedict was delicious as well.

Delicious food with fresh ingredients! We came for brunch and enjoyed the chef’s special- lamb tacos with rabbit jus as well as chicken and waffles and mimosas! The service was on par, the food was delicious, and the vibe was high!

The lobster bisque was to die for it, really really good 😋. I ordered the market catch for the main entree (picture) which was good but not my favorite and I wish the serving size was a little bigger. The service was really good and I love the ambience 🥰

Amazing food and staff! Woody and Brad were exceptional! We had so many things and shared them. Shrimp and Grits, Lobster Bisque, Cauliflower, Truffle Fries, Petite Fillet, desserts, drinks, and more were fantastic! Some of the best food we've ever had! Definitely recommend coming here!!

Jane was our server this evening, and she was wonderful. Very charismatic and sharp, proactive with explaining the menu and clearly knowledgeable about the dishes they serve.
This was a fantastic, well rounded dining experience. The menu (for this fall) was perfectly sized and creative while also staying grounded. I got the Salmon, and…wow. I usually don’t order salmon because I haven’t found a place that makes it better than my mom’s. This dish was amazing, and perfectly portioned with a unique mix of flavors that worked really well together. I also tried the lobster bisque and it was great too. Lovely dessert selection too, they make everything in-house, down to the creative ice cream of the day. Presentation of the plates was also gorgeous.
It was busy, a reservation is definitely recommended, but the staff managed very well considering. The energy was great and it was clear everyone was enjoying themselves. The decor was cozy while also feeling up-to-date and clean. Good, gentle lighting. Music was good volume too.
I would definitely come back to this place and highly recommend it to anyone in the area! Thanks to the staff for great service and the kitchen for all their hard work.

Our server Megan was so wonderful. The dishes are very unique and delicious. It's very pretty in there as well. The wine selection was enjoyable

More of a 4.5. Service was excellent! Food quality was good.
*Heirloom tomatoes and Burrata was delicious! The tomato's were perfectly ripe.
*Petite filet, my husband couldn't say enough about how perfect his meal was.
*Linguini and crab was ok. I think it was more of a texture thing for me, I prefer my pasta al dente.
We were so full from our meals that we just shared a scoop of ice cream. But that dessert menu looked amazing.
We would definitely return if we're back in the area.

Chestnut has BRUNCH!!!!!!! That is all that really needs to be said. Chestnut is a solid restaurant and they just recently added BRUNCH!!! Get the donuts!!!!!!!! Amazing chicken and waffles, buscuits and local pork gravy, crab Benedict...no bread, soft poached egg on a CRAB cake...you get crab. The lobster bisque and breakfast salad we nice. The breakfast sandwich (no pic 😞) was an over easy egg on a beautiful croissant (City Bakery) with meat or vegetarian substitute. Reservations accepted!!!

I was saving a visit to Chestnut for a special occasion. We finally stopped by for an anniversary dinner and now that we’ve been I can’t wait to go back!
This restaurant has the whole package. Delicious food, fantastic service and a lovely atmosphere.
Now that we’ve been, I look forward to stopping by on a whim and grabbing a seat at the bar and enjoying a glass of wine and a small plate. I can’t wait to stop by for brunch as well.
Chestnut is a wonderful celebratory restaurant. Now that we’ve done that I hope to put it in our regular rotation.
One of my favorites in Asheville!
