Another day, another steak n cheese suggestion, another cheesesteak debate. My good NOVA folks pressed me out to come to this spot. So guess what…I’m here. Let’s see what it’s hittin on!! . Where I am: @thebroilerdmv . Location Reviewed: 3601 Columbia Pike, Arlington V.A. . Menu Includes: Subs; Steak n Cheese, Cheeseburger, Ham, Turkey, Sausage, Italian, or Grilled Cheese, Cold Cuts, Fries, Burgers, Turkey Burgers, Round Pizza (with a multitude of toppings), Square pizza, Breakfast Subs, Breakfast Toast, Veggie options, & Beverages. . Items Reviewed: Their Square Pizza (1 size with green peppers, mushrooms, onions, pepperoni, & sausage $19.50). STAMP!! The toppings were fresh (not soaked in vinegar), the cheese was a blend between mozzarella, and a sharp cheddar…I’m impressed…well done Broiler!! Their Large Half n Half (lemonade & ice tea mix $2.43). STAMP!! Not overly sweet, nostalgic drink!! It even had the popular rounded ice cubes in it!! Their fries (with salt, pepper, ketchup $3.75). ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! You have to eat these hot!! If I had Mumbo sauce it would’ve elevated these to Stamp status!! Their Deluxe Steak n Cheese (a one foot sub with green peppers, onions, extra provolone, mushrooms, & mayo $20.40). STAMP!! This is what I’ve been looking for!! Tender protein, cheesy provolone, just an awesome steak n cheese!! GET THIS!! . Customer Service: Accommodating, & Welcoming. . Online Navigation: Simple/Easy . Parking: Tight, but Little parking. . Broiler is 10/10 hands down! I dont care how busy it is your food is done pretty fast & the customer service is good!! They have been around for quite sometime. The cheesesteak(full of meat) are my go to & the fries!!! Also the pizza is delicious. Go support this great local business & they have breakfast haven’t tried yet but cant wait. Was in the mood for a cheesesteak like a REAL cheesesteak, not one of these local knock offs... Anyways my quick search led me to The Broiler. First impressions, this is your usual neighborhood cheesesteak and pizza parlor. Probably not the fancy a spot to take a date on if you know what I mean, but the food is decent; Nothing more, nothing less... I got a large deluxe cheesesteak and a side of fries. The cheesesteak was a little above average. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. The fries were lacking seasoning, added some ole Bay when I got home, seemed like the standard pre-frozen joints that one can expect from a local spot. Anyways check it out if your in the area and want a cheesesteak, but I probably wouldn't drive to far out of the way for it.

Cheese Steak and French fries were really good. Liked that they didn’t over-salt the food and had salt shakers at the table to salt to taste. They didn’t have non-sweet tea and the establishment looks and feels dirty which is reflected in the review. Overall good tasting food but needs more attention to cleanliness.

Really 3.5 stars. Found out about this one via some must check out list online. Food is a simple menu. Order cheese steaks or there's not much else. Food was decent but not as good as I was hoping for from the definite whole in the wall feel. It's an older building. Okay but they're in need of a lot of cleaning. All the tables were dirty along with the floor. We sat at the cleanest. While we were there no one came out from behind the counter to clean the tables. And the bathroom was not only an architectural nightmare but wasn't clean or stocked up on anything. Overall if you don't mind having a Waffle house type experience with a ordering counter, this could be your next place.

I grew up eating here. I will admit I rarely have the pizza, which is fantastic. I enjoy getting a 12" deluxe with fries, and eating half on-site. Saving the rest for a follow up meal. Even cold, I rate there subs above most. The only downside is the parking. Park on the street around the corner, trust me.

This place has been here forever and it's still the best. I moved away from this area for years and have recently come back. Aside from the ice cream machine going extinct, this place is the exact same. The pizza and steak and cheese subs are the best. Yes the place could use some TLC but it's the original floors and tables and everything so yes it looks old. They don't have a janitor clenaing the tables every second. It has amazing food and the employees aren't looking to serve snotty people. Go get a sub and a pizza and you will be very happy.
