Food was good service was good prices were good. Will definitely go back. We got there 30 min before closing and the staff was very hospitable and speedy. They never made us feel rushed and everything was great. We were a table of 8. Would definitely recommend.

I just left this little gem of a restaurant. My meal was absolutely amazing! It is a "Caribbean" restaurant, but really Puerto Rican, from what I understand. It's not fancy, but very clean and down home feeling. The cook (and I believe owner) came out to say hello. We ordered the special of the day, fritofongo. It was HUGE! and soo tasty. Mofongo is fried green plantain, in this case it was like a shell, in which the filling of beef and shrimp and veggies were inserted. I didn't even eat 1/4 of it, and I was stuffed. I have a meal for 2 more days, HAHA. If you like new experiences and if you like Latin food, I highly recommend this place.

Good Puerto Rican food. A little disappointed they didn't serve pastels. The alcapurria was very flavorful, the pernil was tasty but the rice was a tad bland-suggest more sofrito and Sazón. Overall, the food is good and we will return when in town.

The portion was pretty large, kinda pricy for lunch $30 for one person with tip, bottler water $2. I don't mind paying for and respect their pricing but for money value I don't think I going back for lunch but maybe next time I might give another change with trying other menu. The food plain taste, yes with the cream cheese sauce it tastes pretty good but after that is like overeating the same taste, kinda eating a large plate of spaghetti at home, the wrap grill chicken breast and the mofongo just solso(plain).

This was plate was amazing 👏🏾 fish fried to crispy perfection on the outside while the inside was juicy, tender and full of flavor. I recommend beans and mofongo as a side. It's so much food I had leftovers. Great service and

I usually get Thai house nearby but was craving something different and El Mofongo seemed like the perfect fit. I wasn’t sure what to expect because beneath the restaurant sign, it said Caribbean and wasn’t used to eating Caribbean cuisines. The inside is small with painted walls depicting culture. They have hand held menus to order from. The entrees are in Spanish with English descriptions at the bottom. They are a little on the pricey side but oh boy I think it’s worth it. I got the chicken with onion entree that comes with two sides of your choice. I waited for maybe 15 minutes in the lobby before my food was ready for take out. They provided utensils and a napkin. When I opened my food in the car, ooo boy, it came out steaming and smelling delicious. They automatically gave me thousand island dressing for my salad. The food was amazing. It had flavor but wasn’t drenched in too much sauce. It left a good impression of Puerto Rican food in my mind and I would love to come back with a friend next time.

This place is the BEST Puerto Rican food in Texas. The Piña Colada has the most real taste I've had in while and the fired Mofongo with shrimp and churrasco(close for fajita meat) is juicy not dry at all. You leave wobbling out. I love that they gave us disposable utensils because of Covid, so I don't have worry about dirty utensils. It's going to Puerto Rico without having to buy a plane ticket to taste the food.

I had the Frito Mofongo. This is the best new thing I've eaten in years. The staff is very friendly. She was disappointed I took my flan to go and she didn't get to hear how I liked it. It was fantastic by the way.
