Firstly I called ahead but they do not have reservations, only priority seating where they take your name and give you a time but that still doesn't guarantee a seat but I did it anyway and my time was 7:15p so we got there and was seated about 7:45p. I was greeted by the hostess upon entering. My waitress was extremely attentive and was always checking in on us. Also the manager on duty stopped by and checked on us as well. We had already looked over the menu so we ordered right away. I ordered the atlantic salmon with asparagus and a rice pilaf as well as the chicken tortilla soup that came with it. We also ordered the Black Rock Ribs that came with the house salad and mac and cheese as well as the 3 jumbo shrimp add on. They brought out the soup and salad first and they both were delicious and the perfect serving. After taking our order maybe about 20 minutes and the main course was brought out to us. The presentation as well as the taste was very good and everything was on point 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 the portions were the perfect size too. The ambience and environment was cool also. They still are following the safe distance protocol and I witnessed them sterilizing everything after a table or spot at the bar was cleared. The only bad thing I would say that isn't really to bad is that the floors were greasy and a few young women at different times almost slipped and fell walking through the restaurant. All in all though I love the Black Rock Ann Arbor location. I visited other Black Rocks in Michigan but Ann Arbor is my new favorite location!!!

My wife and I wanted a nice lunch so we stopped in. After being seated, Gregory helped us order drinks, appetizers, and explained their signature black rock cooking method. He was extremely friendly, helpful and courteous. We brought our food promptly, never let our drinks empty, and was quick to make helpful suggestions. He is a true asset to this fabulous restaurant. The food was great. The atmosphere was great. The service is what will bring us back.

Great steak place with tasty seafood options as well. I got the ahi tuna steak, which was super nice. It's sushi grade, so you're free to cook it or just cram it down like a pelican. I was somewhere in between. Like a very satisfied seagull. Also the pretzel bites are amazing. They're great on their own, but the cheddar and cream cheese dips elevate them to a whole other level. I also tried the brownie thing, which was also tasty. I couldn't finish it though because the meal was so powerful and mighty. Still hoping to try that volcano dessert someday!

My husband and I came for our wedding anniversary tonight. Hands down one of the best restaurant experiences we've had. Grayson was very attentive and friendly. All of the food was amazing. The margaritas were delicious! We usually go to the Canton location, but the Ann Arbor location blew it out of the water! Great job!!

Delicious!!! We were worried about it being overpriced with bad food, as it’s around a lot of tourist areas such as UMich. Contrary to this thought, the food was amazing and we would definitely come back! Great meat, drinks, and desert. We had appetizers, main dishes, and desert and the total w/o tip was around $23 a person. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly & if you’re in the area, come by!

It was delicious. You will have to cook your meat on a black flat heated rock. The salad was good! Mac & cheese was kind of bland. Both of us ordered the shrimp & steak.

Forst our server Gabby was a rock star. We had the lobster dip and a lobster bisque to start. Honestly it was so much my wife and I could have made a dinner just out of that. However of the charts delish. Then my wife ordered the chopstix chicken and it pretty spicy but fabulous I had the Art Of Sicily very good but again a huge portion. We also each had old fashions and if your an old fashion fan this is the place to get one. Great experience!!

Super good Steak! Hands down a fun experience being able to cook the steak on the flat rock, at my exact desired temperature. Our bartender was outstanding!! She went above and beyond on making sure she answered any questions we had about the menu. Wide variety of steaks and seafood. I got the filet of ribeye, and was pleasantly surprised how tender and moist it came out. If you want a good experience and great cut of meat, check black rock out!
