Don's (and the adjacent Beer Store) is always my last stop heading to the cottages from Ottawa. I grab a steak and some kabobs plus a few sausages for afternoon snacks. Everyone at the cottages asks where I get them.
Don't forget to get Don's homemade dry rub on your steak!!

Just tried a pork steak stuffed with bacon/stuffing..like a london broil only with pork.OMG...a look good...I will be buying more for an upcoming dinner party!

Our first time to the shop and we had some delicious sandwiches, stocked up on deli meats, and got some other great local cuts of meat. The owner even came out with a treat for our pup. Lovely place and people. Our now go-to butcher shop!

Friendly faces, great service. Prices are moderate and the choices are almost unlimited. Bacon wrapped chicken avocado bombs are terrific. Charcuterie board is fantastic with generous portions and a mix of meats and cherses. Very much worth the money.

I love butcher shops... I mean real butcher shops. Don's Meat Market is a real butcher shop!
Don took some time to talk to me about what he carries, where it's from, and his standards for quality. I was quite impressed. Everything from nitrate free, to grass fed, to farmed deer, elk, and bison. And some pretty good butter tarts too.👍

My parents live in Almonte, so I went out there to make them dinner. Figured I’d support a small local business and I’m glad I did. They cut some chicken thighs up for me perfectly. The quality is outstanding. Friendly atmosphere too. Meat is often the star of your dish, so don’t skimp. I encourage anyone who lives in the area to try them out if you haven’t before. I’ll be back!

The sausages were the best sausages I’ve ever eaten. Hawaiian sausages are so good.
Also got the boneless rib steak.
Amazing! So worth it.

Awesome, friendly butcher shop with all kinds of different fresh, frozen and grocery items. Beer store shares the same parking lot which is also pretty convenient.
